Paul Tomasofsky - President

Paul Tomasofsky, President, Secure Remote Payment Council, is a well-known payments executive with over 39 years’ experience in retail financial services. He is also the president of Two Sparrows Consulting which specializes in all aspects of small-value payment systems. Mr. Tomasofsky specializes in operations analysis, strategic planning, training, competitive analysis, and product development. During the past 19 years he has consulted extensively on prepaid cards, debit cards, EMV, mobile payments, merchant acquiring, bill payment and presentment, reward programs, payments risk management, product positioning, outsourced procurement, and operational topics. In June 2014, Mr. Tomasofsky became a partner in McGovern Smith Advisors. In December 2013, Mr. Tomasofsky became Executive Director of the Debit Network Alliance. In December 2009 Mr. Tomasofsky became the founding President of the Secure Remote Payment Council. In 2008, Mr. Tomasofsky served as interim Executive Director of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association. He is a frequent speaker at industry gatherings and is a contributing author to “Electronic Payment System Compliance,” published by A.S. Pratt and Sons.

Before his current position, Mr. Tomasofsky was Vice President of Strategic Business Development for NYCE Corporation, Montvale, NJ. There, he was responsible for engaging other payment companies in business formations including alliances, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions. Earlier, he was Vice President of Advanced Products for NYCE, responsible for developing emerging products including SafeDebit, an Internet PINned debit payment product.

In the mid ’90s, Mr. Tomasofsky was Director of Implementations for Visa Interactive, where he was a pioneer in remote banking and electronic bill pay delivery. At the beginning of his career, he managed a national merchant credit card acquiring portfolio and introduced one the earliest offline debit card programs, both for First National Bank of Maryland.

    Manish Nathwani - SRPc Chairman

    Manish Nathwani, Senior Vice President, SHAZAM, is a key contributor to the vision of SHAZAM's electronic payments business. He and his teams innovate and develop products to enhance SHAZAM's core strengths and introduce new products into the marketplace to help its member financial institutions succeed. He leverages his 25+ business and deep technology background, coupled with a solution mindset, to bring value to clients and make meaningful contributions to the payments industry. His international experience demonstrates a broad understanding of the payment ecosystem and the value of product development. He’s an active member of the U.S. Payments Forum Steering Committee as well as the Board of Advisors of EMVCo, representing the critical interests of US debit networks among current and emerging technologies, such as mobile payments, contactless, tokenization, 3D-Secure, remote commerce and the internet of things. Manish is also an active member of the Secure Remote Payment Council, the Debit Network Alliance and the X9, Accredited Standards Committee. As head of product development, he leverages the ongoing advances in real-time / faster payments and banking technology, while promoting and advocating for open standards, to develop practical solutions that solve complex business problems and deliver optimal value to SHAZAM’s clients.

    Kirkland Morris – SRPc Vice Chairman

    Kirkland Morris, Vice President, Enterprise Initiatives & External Affairs for Interac Corp. plays a lead role in driving strategic initiatives and shaping Interac’s corporate voice and relationship with policy makers and regulators, key payments industry stakeholders and industry bodies.

    A participant in numerous industry forums and active industry spokesperson, Kirkland held a seat on the inaugural Board of Advisors of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council, is a member of the EMVCo Board of Advisors, and serves on the Board of Directors of both ATMIA and the Secure Remote Payment Council.
