Paul Tomasofsky - President

Paul Tomasofsky, President, Secure Remote Payment Council, is a well-known payments executive with over 33 years experience in retail financial services. He is also the president of Two Sparrows Consulting which specializes in all aspects of small-value payment systems. Mr. Tomasofsky specializes in operations analysis, strategic planning, training, competitive analysis, and product development. During the past twelve years he has consulted extensively on prepaid cards, debit cards, EMV, mobile payments, merchant acquiring, bill payment and presentment, reward programs, payments risk management, product positioning, outsourced procurement and operational topics. In June, 2014, Mr. Tomasofsky became a partner in McGovern Smith Advisors.  In December 2013, Mr. Tomasofsky became Executive Director of the Debit Network Alliance.  In December, 2009 Mr. Tomasofsky became the founding President of the Secure Remote Payment Council. In 2008, Mr. Tomasofsky served as interim Executive Director of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association. He is a frequent speaker at industry gatherings and is a contributing author to “Electronic Payment System Compliance,” published by A.S. Pratt and Sons.

Before his current position, Mr. Tomasofsky was Vice President of Strategic Business Development for NYCE Corporation, Montvale, NJ. There, he was responsible for engaging other payment companies in business formations including alliances, strategic partnerships, and acquisitions. Earlier, he was Vice President of Advanced Products for NYCE, responsible for developing emerging products including SafeDebit, an Internet PINned debit payment product.

In the mid ’90s, Mr. Tomasofsky was Director of Implementations for Visa Interactive, where he was a pioneer in remote banking and electronic bill pay delivery. At the beginning of his career, he managed a national merchant credit card acquiring portfolio and introduced one the earliest offline debit card programs, both for First National Bank of Maryland.

Annmarie D. "Mimi" Hart - SRPc Chairman

MagTek, Inc. CEO and Chairman  

Annmarie D. "Mimi" Hart is President, CEO and Chairman of MagTek, Inc.  She has been associated with MagTek, the leading provider of secure card reading and authentication technology, for over 35 years. She helped to found the Secure Remote Payment Council.

Mimi has been a strong supporter of Industry Standards. She represented MagTek on the ANSI and ISO workgroups that formulated the early standards for PIN and card usage. As an industry spokesperson, she has called for greater security especially as it affects the consumer and has often noted that strong consumer protection benefits all stakeholders in the payment infrastructure. 

In her current role she has led MagTek to new levels of achievement by emphasizing speed, security and innovation. In 2006 she was a recipient of the Movers and Shakers award from Transaction World Magazine and has served on the Risk and Fraud, and Nominating Committees of the Electronic Transactions Association.  Mimi is a graduate of Boston College, magna cum laude, with degrees in Political Science and Speech Communication.

 

David Keenan - SRPc Vice Chair

Fiserv, Senior Vice President, Network Solutions Card Services  

David Keenan is Senior Vice President, Network Solutions, with responsibility for driving transaction growth and cardholder satisfaction through card-based networks. In addition to managing risk-based solutions and strategic partnerships, he leads the Accel™ network – one of North America’s premier ATM/POS networks. Accel, founded in 1973 and wholly owned by Fiserv, Inc., provides a real-time transaction processing infrastructure that enables financial institution consumers to transact at hundreds of thousands of ATMs and millions of merchants.

David has 30 years of payments experience driving growth and innovation across ACH, RDC, debit and credit card, EFT, Fedwire, and SWIFT payment systems, serving in executive-level roles at payment leaders such as Fundtech and MasterCard International. Additionally, David was Managing Director of Loyalty Marketing at United Airlines where he ran the Mileage Plus program and was responsible for United's corporate marketing partnerships. He began his career as a systems programmer with Fifth Third Bank's MPS subsidiary, writing machine language code that connected some of the first ATM/POS networks.
David lives in Chicago with his wife, Kristin, and their three children.

 

Mike Strada - SRPc Secretary

Independent  Consultant

Mike Strada is an Independent Consultant with over 46 years experience.

Before this, Mike was the Executive Director of Debit Relations and Strategy for Chase Paymentech Solutions, a leading merchant acquirer. In this role he had responsibility for Global Debit Card Relations and Debit Strategy.

Strada brings over 46 years experience to Chase Paymentech in the payments industry with his long time emphasis on Debit Cards. He grew the Chase Paymentech debit card business to over 225 million PIN debit transactions per month.

Before Joining Chase Paymentech he was president of Electronic Commerce Strategies, a payment industry consulting firm. Strada was the chief architect of the PLUS ATM Network and as CEO of the HONOR Debit Card Network implemented the first state wide PIN Debit POS program in the United States.

Strada has served as the President of the Shared Networks Executives Association and has served on the Board of Directors of the Electronic Funds Transfer Association. He chaired various standards committees and is viewed as one of the top experts in the U.S. in Debit Cards.


 

Catherine M. Morrissey - SRPc Treasurer

President – NETS, Inc.  

Cathy is President and CEO of NETS, Inc.; a Nebraska based regional electronic funds transfer system, headquartered in Lincoln, NE.  NETS is a member-owned debit/ATM network serving more than 280 Nebraska financial institutions with processing solutions for both ATM and point-of-sale debit card activity.  Ms. Morrissey joined NETS in January, 2008 after nearly 28 years in the wholesale banking environment.  After roughly 4 years as a National Bank Examiner, Cathy began work for First Commerce Bancshares/National Bank of Commerce in Correspondent Banking.  This opportunity led to overseeing Correspondent Banking for NBC, and then following the acquisition of First Commerce by Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., Cathy assumed a Senior Management position over an 8 state region for Wells Fargo.  Cathy holds a B.S. degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and graduated with honors from the Graduate School of Banking Colorado.  Cathy has served as a faculty member for Bank Management Simulation at GSBC for nearly 15 years, as well as the NBA/KBA Advanced School of Banking for 17 years.  Ms. Morrissey is involved in a number of financial, civic and charitable organizations and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for NETS, Inc., the SRPc, Debit Network Alliance, the Electronic Funds Transfer Association and the Huskers Athletic Fund Walk-On Club.  Ms. Morrissey is also a past Chair of the Nebraska Bankers Association and the YMCA of Lincoln, NE.
